I think Luis has the right idea. Maybe save some of it for an emergency fund, but donate some to the local Boxer Rescue League (just google "arizona boxer rescue" to find one). But definitely pay it forward.

I'm really sorry for your loss. Losing a dog is like losing family, and it happened to me too, a couple of months ago, so i understand your pain.
